This is madmax before and after,he looks so tiny when i first found him.
But after 3 weeks bottle fed he soon picked up,and became my best pal
I am so glad i took him in when i did
his chances on the street where null,and although i had 2 cats and a wife that thought i had enough pets,
she sat with me and helped nurse him through the fisrt weeks.
finding little bottles and teats to make a bottle feed for him, her experence with dolls and toy feeding bottles was a great help.
Well now he is quite the man.lol
Olny draw back is he thinks hes human and can do anything we do.like eating at the table,and pushing his way into any where if hes wanted or not.
But ok hes worth it.

Tips for Introducing Two Cats.WISH I HAD FOUND THIS A WHILE BACK:LOL

Adding a new member to your feline family is usually more exciting for you than your current cat.
Even though they are solitary by nature, most cats eventually learn to accept or at least tolerate newcomers.
Because they are very territorial, the way you go about introducing the new cat to your existing cat can mean the difference between success or "cat-astrophe."
The introduction process can take as little as 10-12 days for kittens and very young cats, to as long as 12 weeks for older cats.
It all depends on each cat's personality. Be sure to give your "first" cat plenty of attention.
This will help him feel secure that he is not in competition for your affection.
Confine your new cat to a "safe" room until the introduction process is complete.
This should be a small room, such as a bathroom or small bedroom that your current cat rarely visits.
Furnish it with a bed, scratching post, food, water and litter box.
In the beginning, your first cat may hiss and yowl at the cat on the other side of the door. Just ignore him and walk away.
Never punish him for vocalizing aggressively, it will only cause trouble between the two cats.
Be sure to praise and pet your first cat when he acts calmly when near the new cat's room.
After a few days, take a rag or washcloth and rub it over your new cat as you pet and play with her.
Use a different rag to do the same thing with your first cat. At feeding time, put each cat's scented rag under the other cat's bowl.
This will help them associate the other cat's scent with something positive-food. Lots of little feedings each day will help them get used to the smell more quickly.
Be sure to renew the scent on the rags each day.
Next, you can feed them in closer proximity.
Keep your new cat in her "safe" room with the door firmly closed, and place each cat's dish on their side of the door.
Be sure to feed them at the same time.
Once they both eat with no growling or hissing, you can move to the next level of the introduction.
Close your first cat in a room he likes to frequent, making sure he has water, some favorite food and a litter box. Let your new cat out to explore the house.
After a few hours, put her back in her room and let your first cat out.
He will probably hiss and fuss when he smells another cat's scent in HIS territory.
Again, be patient and praise him when he acts calmly.
Repeat this activity at least once a day until both cats seem comfortable.
Before you let the cats have full access to one another, let them come face to face in a safe situation.
Use two hard plastic doorstops to jam the door to the new cat's room open a mere 2-3 inches. Check that the door can't be pushed open any further, and that neither cat can get its head through the opening.
The object is to give them a chance to swat paws at one another and even go nose to nose without the opportunity for full body contact.
Feed each cat on their respective side of the door.

my love of wild cats

I have always loved wild cats,theres something about them thats magic.

The way they look and walk, we have one here in a park, but its in a cage poor thing.

But after i asked why this great cat must spend all day in a cage,i was told its the only way to save them,we the humans have moved in on there living place

and drive them to look in the citys and towns for food, and there they meet a quick end.fast cars,dogs, and other dangers,

What a pity if our children never get to see such a great cat,

One day, a cat dies of natural causes and goes to heaven, where he meets the Lord Himself.
The Lord says to the cat, "You lived a good life, and if there is any way I can make your stay in heaven more comfortable, please let me know."
The cat thinks for a moment and says, "Lord, all my life I have lived with a poor family and had to sleep on a hard wooden floor."
The Lord stops the cat and says, "Say no more," and a wonderful, fluffy pillow appears.
A few days later, six mice are killed in a tragic farming accident, and all of them go to heaven. Again, the Lord is there to greet them with the same offer.
The mice answer, "All our lives we have been chased.
We have had to run from cats, dogs, and even women with brooms.
Running, running, running; we're tired of running.
Do you think we could have roller skates so that we don't have to run anymore?" The Lord says, "Say no more" and fits each mouse with beautiful new roller skates.
About a week later, the Lord stops by to see the cat and finds him snoozing on the pillow.
The Lord gently wakes the cat and asks him, "How are things since you got here?" The cat stretches and yawns, then replies, "It is wonderful here.
Better than I could have ever expected. And those 'Meals On Wheels' you've been sending by are the best!"

Florida pup rescued from gator's jaws

A determined South Florida man managed to save the life of his 6-month-old puppy by wrestling it from the jaws of a 6-foot alligator. Mike Rubin, 45, was walking Jasmine, a golden retriever, Monday morning in Coral Springs, on the edge of the Everglades when he heard the dog make an unusual sound. He bolted to catch up with her and told the Miami Herald his first fear of a gator attack was confirmed. "The gator was flipping her over and killing her," he said. "I jumped on top of both of them." He said the dog was limp, and he feared she was dead, but he was determined the gator wasn't going to take the pup. Punching the reptile on the head did nothing, so he said he finally yanked the dog free. He and his wife rushed the dog to a veterinary clinic, where it was treated for puncture injuries and bruising, and sent home hours later, the report said. "Maybe it wasn't the brightest thing to do," Rubin said. "You love your animal, sometimes you do crazy things."

Lost Cat A man hated his wife's cat and he decided to get rid of it. He drove 20 blocks away from home and dropped the cat there. The cat was already walking up the driveway when he approached his home. The next day, he decided to drop the cat 40 blocks away but the same thing happened. He kept on increasing the number of blocks but the cat kept on coming home before him. At last he decided to drive a few miles away, turn right, then left, past the bridge, then right again and another right and so on until he reached what he thought was a perfect spot and dropped the cat there. Hours later, the man calls his wife at home and asked her, "Lynn is the cat there?" "Yes, why do you ask?" answered the wife. Frustrated the man said, "Put that cat on the phone, I am lost and I need directions."

Cats are irresponsible and recognize no authority, yet are completely dependent on others for their material needs. Cats cannot be made to do anything useful. Cats are mean for the fun of it.

CAT RULES ON FOOD

In order to get the energy to sleep, play, and hamper, a cat must eat. Eating, however, is only half the fun.

The other half is getting the food. Cats have two ways to obtain food: convincing a human you are starving to death and must be fed *NOW*; and hunting for it oneself.

The following are some guidelines for getting fed.

When the humans are eating, make sure you leave the tip of your tail in their dishes when they are not looking.

Never eat food from your own bowl if you can steal some from the table.
Never drink from your own water bowl if a human's glass is full enough to drink from.

The best times to inform humans of your dish's emptiness are when they are unable to ignore you, such as when they are sleeping or on the toilet.

Should you catch something of your own outside, it is only polite to attempt to get to know it.

Be insistent; your food will usually not be so polite and try to leave. If you can't be bothered to eat the food you've just caught, be considerate and don't waste it; it makes a perfect gift for humans! Carefully pick it up and carry it to the human's house and, if the door is closed, leave it on the doorstep.

If the door is open, or there is a cat-flap, take it inside and leave it somewhere highly visible. The gift will be even more welcome if it is still alive! Live birds and mice make the best gifts as humans love a good game of chase just as much as you do, although be careful not to help them; it's their gift after all.

Table scraps are delicacies with which the humans are unfortunately unwilling to readily part. It is beneath the Dignity of a cat to beg outright for food as lower forms of life such as dogs will, but several techniques exist for ensuring that the humans don't forget you exist. These include, but are not limited to: jumping onto the lap of the "softest" human and purring loudly; lying down in the doorway between the dining room and the kitchen, the Direct Stare, and twining around people's legs as they sit and eat while meowing plaintively.

Coffee is known to be rejuvenating for both cats and humans. Whenever a human sets a cup of coffee on the floor within your reach, s/he is showing you great respect and worship. Softly blow the divine liquid until cool (you may even put your paw in it to make sure the temperature is just right) and then daintily drink it.

Occasionally there will be disagreements over what you and the humans will deem as edible. The appropriate action, should the stuff in question be too repulsive to ignore, is to bury it. Scratch at the floor and try to drag over objects to cover the offending item. This informs the ignorant human that it really belongs in the litter box

Before rushing in to buy that darling kitten in the pet store window, take the time to do your homework, so you can avoid these common mistakes made by new cat owners. The result will be a happier and healthier cat and a long-term companionship with another living being, the like of which you never dreamed.
1) Adopting in Haste
If you "impulse-buy" a new purse or a new t-shirt, you can almost always return it if it turns out to be the wrong color or the fit isn't right. No harm, no foul; the purse certainly doesn't suffer from its rejection. But adopting a living, sentient creature such as a cat and kitten, to become a family member, is entirely a different matter.
Adopting a new cat should be for keeps, so consider carefully before you make that decision.

CATS SEE NO DANGER ONLY ADVENTURE

While sitting there quiet the other evening,and doing a little credit find on BE i noticed my cat mad max, enter the room looking for trouble as always anything left out becomes his.
He noticed the two bright blue pill boxes that my wife had just filled and left on the dinning room table,and in a quick move of the body he was up and on the table.
Now pill boxes are great they rattle and are full of what looks like treats for me he must have thought, because in no time at all he had give the box a big sweep of the paw, and it hit the floor with a great rattle,! he then started to give the box a few more
mighty blows and to him it was great fun.
Lucky for me the boxes are quite new and hard to open, thank god!!!.
Pills and cats dont mix and they must be kept well out of reach, to do this you must think like a cat.lol
If you where a cat how high could you spring, so after my scare i found a drawer and put the pill boxes in out of reach, because once they have found out that its fun and rattles your lost.
And im sure you like me would not want to injure or kill your cat through a silly mistake.
So same rules as if you had young kids in the house lock all pills away out of reach.

CATS DRINKING HABITS

With the warm weather on the way its a good time to think of putting down extra water for your cats,
The tap water here in germany is lousy and we never drink from the tap,so why would the cats?, they are very clever and dont like tricks so i solved the problem by giving them bottle water, my son drinks a lot of the water without to much fizz so ideal for cats.
also on hot days i add a little ice to the water and keep it cool,and if like me you give them a mixed diet of wet and dry food they also get some water out of this,but my cat never drinks water your going to say.lol
I thought the same but cats are cats i found out, and they do what they want to, and they drink when they want, not always when your watching.
So put water bowls in a few places spread over the house and the cat will find them
check every few hours and change if to warm.

Do you have special tricks for getting them to drink??´´
